Enfield wildlife control tip of the month:
How to get Raccoon out of your attic
Raccoons might effortlessly choose the area of attic to stay in and it’s important to drive them out of this tract
in order to prevent their future presence. Raccoons are very clever and it’s seemingly difficult to make them leave
their places once those are created. If they are currently making their choices to live in the attic and homeowners
are determined to take this matter into their own hands, they need to follow a few Enfield animal control steps as described below:
Step 1: Although raccoons like to stay together irrespective of their ages and move around places as a group, it’s possible
to get them alone when adult raccoons are out and get to work. Setting up as many Enfield pest control lights as possible in attic can drive them
out, since they are fond of darkness. This will not lead them to dying but, they will be forced to change their places and look
for a new destination in a steady process.
Step 2: Raccoons are responding negatively to loud sounds and they always tend to avoid it. A consistent loud sound can constrain
them to move away as they no longer want to endure it. Sometimes an Enfield wildlife removal arrangement of sounds is alone enough to make raccoons pack their
bags and set out of another destination. Grabbing one or more radios and setting them loudly can make raccoons become distracted with
what they do and as a result, they become reluctant to be at the current place. If possible, some speakers should be arranged to make
the sound louder so that raccoons will have no choice expect leaving the attic.
Step 3: Ensure adding screens of heavy duty steel over the vents of attic so that raccoons will not be allowed to get through the opening
of the Enfield animal trapping vent cover. Make use of u-shaped nails in order to keep screen in place. Screen should not be too small to allow airflow to reach
the attic. Cut all nearby branches of trees that are used by raccoons to climb onto the roof. Holes should be patched after finding so that
raccoons won’t be able to go inside the attic. Holes, which are more than four-inches will allow raccoons to enter. It’s wise to leave a single
hole open so that hidden raccoons will find the room for getting out through this hole while a secure live trap in front of the hole can work
firmly and effectively.
Step 4: Remove every kind of food source from the attic and create Enfield exterminator obstacles down the route between the attic and sources. Tighten garbage
cans properly and place them inside a shed or garage so that raccoons will not be able to avail foods easily and will be forced to leave the
attic. Remove dropped fruits or nuts from the yard availed from nearby trees.
Step 5: Putting up a nest box near the attic holes can also
trap the raccoons that have come out through the holes.
